  • Postpartum anestrus buffalo;Ovsynch;Heat synch;CIDR;Pregnancy rate

  • Twenty four anestrus postpartum buffaloes were subjected to treatment with Ovsynch, Ovsynch + CIDR for 7 days and Heat synch protocol in group I, II and III respectively. Estrus was exhibited in 100% buffaloes in treatment group except in group IV which was kept as control. The onset of estrus was lower in Group III (38.83±3.69 h) as compared to group I (48.50±5.17 h) and II (54.50±2.91h). The duration of estrus was longer in Group II (21.66±0.80 h) as compared to group I (20.66±1.11 h) and III (19.83±1.51 h). Intensity of estrus was better in Group III followed by group II and I. The pregnancy rate after insemination at induced estrus was 33.33, 66.66 and 50.00% in group I, II and III, respectively.
