  • In the present study, migratory buffalo calves of up to 6 months of age were taken for the study of the efficacy of oxfendazole against strongyles. Oxfendazole at the dose rate of 4.5 mg/kg b. wt. was 94.25 percent effective on 7 day and 100 percent on day 14 of post treatment. The EPGs were significantly lower in treated animals than untreated control group from day 3 onward, while in infected control group-A, EPG gradually increased from day 0 to day 14.
