  • Use of buffalo frozen semen in artificial insemination is a very basic requirement for any buffalo breeding program. Difficulties can arise during the management of the buffalo bulls for A.I. with problems concerning libido, fresh semen quality, and semen freezability. Improving frozen semen quality is a very important task in the buffalo genetic improvement effort. The aim of this paper is to compare two different times of equilibration: short (1 hour) vs standard (3 hours) and two extenders (IMV-Laiciphos vs IMV-Biociphos) with regard to their effects on the semen quality parameters.
